Robert Kolodgy
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Bob Kolodgy is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, a national federation of 39 independent, community-based and locally operated Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies collectively providing health coverage for nearly 100 million people – one-in-three of all Americans.
As CFO, Kolodgy is responsible for BCBSA Finance Division operations and Brand Protection and Financial Services, which manages BCBSA's licensure and monitoring programs. He also oversees the National Employee Benefit Administration, which manages more than $4.8 billion in retirement plan assets for 23 participating Blue Plans nationwide.
Prior to joining BCBSA, Kolodgy held various executive positions with ProMedica Health System, an integrated health system with more than 280 service sites and annual revenue of $1.5 billion.
Kolodgy served as Senior Vice President of Operations and Finance for a ProMedica subsidiary, Paramount Health Care. He also served in various other corporate roles for ProMedica, including Chief Strategic Business Development Officer, Chief Materials Management Officer and Chief Construction Management and Real Estate Development Officer.
Prior to ProMedica, Kolodgy was a hospital Chief Financial Officer, Senior Manager in the consulting group of Deloitte & Touch and held several positions in manufacturing.
Among professional affiliations, he is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Kolodgy earned a Bachelor’s degree from Miami University and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame, Magna Cum Laude. He chairs the Board of Trustees for Notre Dame Academy.
