  • In 2007 and 2008, BCBSA was a recipient of the AARP Best Employers for Workers Over 50 designation, an annual recognition program that commends employers whose best practices and policies address the aging workforce.

  • In 2007, BCBSA was recognized as a recipient of the AARP Bernard E. Nash Award for Innovation. An award which recognizes employers that successfully implemented innovative employment policies or practices for workers over 50 in one of the following areas: flexible work options, recruitment, retiree work options, training and development.

  • In both 2007 and 2008, BCBSA was named to Business Week's annual ranking of the Best Places to Launch a Career.

  • In 2008, Modern Healthcare Magazine named BCBSA to its list of best places to work in healthcare.
