Advancing Health Services Research Through Collaboration and Innovations

The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation on Health Care is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. The Foundation is a centralized, coordinating entity that leverages national multi-site health services research.

The Foundation recognizes the unique opportunity to contribute to the public good by focusing on evidence and population-based studies as the most effective way to influence health outcomes, health policy and the quality of health services and delivery. In cooperation with a number of health plans, academic institutions, and government agencies, the Foundation facilitates national research collaborations that provide solutions to relevant health care issues, advance policy and disseminate knowledge that can be translated for use by the public at large.
