BCBSA’s Office Of Policy And Representation Expands Leadership Team
Kris Haltmeyer and Kim Holland promoted to vice presidents for health policy and analysis, state affairs

WASHINGTON – The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) today announced the promotion of Kris Haltmeyer and Kim Holland of BCBSA’s Washington office. In their new positions, they will continue to play leading roles overseeing the Association's policy development and state advocacy activities on behalf of the nation's 37 Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) companies.
Kris Haltmeyer, who previously served as executive director, has been promoted to vice president of health policy and analysis. Haltmeyer has more than 25 years of experience in strategic analysis, policy development and federal representation – seventeen of which have been with BCBSA. Before joining BCBSA, Haltmeyer previously served as a health policy analyst with both Blue Cross of California and WellPoint, Inc.
Kim Holland has been promoted from executive director to vice president of state affairs. As a former Oklahoma insurance commissioner, Holland has extensive experience in working with state and federal insurance regulatory agencies and has played a critical role at BCBSA in supporting BCBS companies in implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Holland joined BCBSA in 2011.

"I look forward to their continued contributions as they support the Blue Cross and Blue Shield System and our work on crucial healthcare policy initiatives."
