Blue365 Waives Healthways’ “Fitness Your Way” Enrollment Fee Through October 31st
Deals Site Offers Exclusive Savings on Extensive National Gym Network
October 15, 2012
WASHINGTON – In our fast-paced, always-on-the go world, it’s often difficult to find the time to exercise or a fitness routine that is flexible enough to fit into busy lifestyles. Through its Blue365® program, the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) has teamed up with Healthways, a nationally known health and well-being company, to offer an exclusive deal that helps members of participating Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) companies enjoy fitness their way through Healthways’ broad network of low-cost gym memberships.
With this exclusive Blue365 deal, BCBS members have access to more than 8,000 gyms nationally for the low monthly fee of $25, with a three-month commitment. As part of this deal, some BCBS participating companies are also offering 30 percent off on more than 40,000 experienced health and well-being specialists including massage therapists, personal trainers, yoga and pilates instructors, and nutrition counselors as well as extra savings on vitamins, exercise equipment, aromatherapy and organic products.
While Healthways is part of Blue365’s ongoing deals available to Blue365 members at any time, now through October 31, the usual $25 gym membership fees will not apply.
“We are excited to extend the waived enrollment fee for the Healthways’ Fitness Your Way deal through the end of October,” said Mark Talluto, executive director marketing and sales support programs at BCBSA. “By offering discounts on fitness memberships and programs, BCBSA and participating BCBS companies are making it easier for members to save money while staying healthy and fit.”
Membership in Healthways’ Fitness Your Way allows members the flexibility to go to any gym in the Healthways network no matter where they are. Fitness centers that participate in the Healthways network include select Anytime Fitness®, Snap Fitness®, Curves® and YMCA locations, among others.
Blue365 Deals launched its website in January 2012 to offer exciting weekly deals and great discounts from top national and local retailers, including fitness gear, gym memberships, healthy eating options and more. By signing up at Blue365, members of participating BCBS companies receive weekly e-mails with special savings from nationally recognized companies such as Jenny Craig®, Reebok®, H&R Block® and others. The featured deals are available for a limited time and are spotlighted on the Blue365 Deals site along with a number of standing discounts that are accessible at any time.
Blue365, a BCBSA national program that was launched in 2007, helps members of participating BCBS companies navigate the healthcare decision-making process, maintain a healthier lifestyle, and maximize the value of their health benefits.
