BlueCross Names Vitulli Vice President, Provider Networks

CHATTANOOGA – Christy Vitulli has been named the vice president of provider networks and contracting for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. In this position, Vitulli will play a vital role in the management of provider contracting activities throughout all lines of business, including commercial, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid.
Vitulli will lead contracting strategies, execute network requirements for the health insurance exchange and develop and manage new provider payment models. Additionally, she will oversee the development and managerial functions associated with the strategic planning and daily operation of the provider network team.

At the Florida Blues Plan, Vitulli served as vice president of provider solutions and network operations. In that position she provided leadership for network operations, issue management, professional relations, and provider communications and education. Additionally she held leadership positions at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee as well as at John Deere Health Care, Inc., Heritage Health Systems and North American Medical Management in Beaumont and Houston, Texas.
Vitulli received a Bachelor of Arts degree of business administration from Texas A&M University. Furthering her educational endeavors, Vitulli studied at Lipscomb University where she earned an MBA.
Vitulli will be based out of BlueCross’ Nashville office and will work with health care providers statewide.
