Capital BlueCross Unveils New Company Logo
Logo change symbolic of evolution for a new insurance marketplace

HARRISBURG, Pa. – Capital BlueCross today unveiled a new company logo, symbolic of the company’s evolution for a new insurance marketplace. While Capital BlueCross’ logo is evolving, its name and essential mission as the leading health insurer in central Pennsylvania and the Lehigh Valley is not changing.
“This is a truly transformative time in health care,” said Gary D. St. Hilaire, Capital BlueCross president & CEO. “No matter how one may feel about health care reform, our industry is changing and Capital BlueCross is leading that change. People are becoming involved in their health care like never before and we are providing tools, resources and innovative technology that are shaping a new kind of health insurance experience.”
St. Hilaire cited the company’s successful accountable care arrangements, award-winning wellness programs, first-of-its-kind retail approach to consumer engagement, and nationally-recognized health care reform implementation as examples of how Capital BlueCross is leading the change.
“Capital BlueCross’ new logo -- with a contemporary, personable, appealing design -- represents our innovative approach to engaging consumers, as well as the bright future we look forward to with our customers, partners and the community as we continue to fulfill our mission of improving health in central Pennsylvania and the Lehigh Valley,” said St. Hilaire.
Capital BlueCross’ new logo consists of the words “Capital Blue” followed by the iconic Blue Cross graphic. The company will transition to the new logo during the next few months.
