Florida Blue Earns Fifth-Straight Perfect Score On Corporate Equality Index
Report Scores Corporate Policies and Practices Addressing LGBT Workplace Equality

JACKSONVILLE – Florida Blue announced today the company earned a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2014 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign. This marks the fifth consecutive year that Florida Blue has received the prestigious 100 percent ranking.
The index evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBT community.

The CEI is an annual survey administered by the nation's largest LGBT advocacy group. For the past decade, the Washington-based organization has published an annual Index that evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination policies, transgender health benefits and domestic partner benefits. The CEI report provides an in-depth analysis and rating of large U.S. employers and is the premiere national benchmark for LGBT workplace inclusion.
The 2014 CEI rated 934 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBT community.
