Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield recently awarded a $32,500 grant to YouthPlaces, an organization that provides career development, mentoring and other activities to local, underserved youth through afterschool programming. The grant will assist YouthPlaces' implementation of technological resources to improve the organization's ability to track key youth data and increase individual case management. The grant also supports fundamental skill development of underserved youth through the use of technology as a teaching tool to perform job and college searches, access online applications and build résumés.
