Blue Cross And Blue Shield Association’s BCBS.com Receives Webby Award

CHICAGO – BCBS.com, the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association's (BCBSA) Web site, has been recognized in the Associations category for the 12th Annual Webby Awards. The awards are given to the top 15 percent of the 10,000 entries reviewed by Webby Award judges.
Hailed as the "Oscars of the Internet" by the New York Times, The Webby Award is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet, including Web sites, interactive advertising, online film and video, and mobile Web sites. Entries were received from all 50 states and more than 60 countries.
Honorees were selected for excellence in overall standards, usability, functionality and website look.
In addition to serving as the Association's main Web site, BCBS.com offers links to the 39 independent Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies nationwide, as well as updates on national legislative and regulatory issues and information on BCBSA and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies' initiatives and programs.
BCBS.com also received a World Wide Web Health Award and an eHealthcare Leadership Award in recognition of being an outstanding healthcare Web site for consumers and healthcare professionals.
