Charles Bassett

As vice president of government relations and public policy for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ), Charles Bassett is responsible for the formulation of the organization's public policy and all local, state and federal government relations.  Bassett serves as the organization's contact for all legislators, government officials, community leaders and the media regarding legislative issues.  He is also a member of the political action committee executive council.

Prior to joining BCBSAZ in 2000, Bassett was an attorney for Low & Childers, a Phoenix-based insurance law firm.  He has also served as Rules Attorney for the Arizona House of Representatives.
