Pat Fulcher is the Vice President of Human Resources – Associate Services for Food Lion, LLC, an extensive grocery retailer based in Salisbury, N.C.

Pat began her career with Food Lion in the Payroll department in 1982 and has been a vice president for five years.  She leads the Associate Services department and directs the company's healthcare, retirement, benefits, payroll, and compensation areas which serve more than 85,000 associates across six U.S. Delhaize Group banners in 11 states.

Because of her strong background in benefits and compensation, organizations seek out her counsel and feedback related to the future of associate total rewards packages.  An example of this is her work on the Advisory Council Committee for Merrill Lynch of Atlanta, Ga.

Within Food Lion, LLC, Pat holds leadership roles in many organizations. She is the president of the company's Lion's Pride Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization that provides financial assistance to associates in times of personal hardship.

She serves as executive sponsor of Military Affairs.  In this role, she led the charge for Food Lion to win the Pro Patria award.  This the highest level Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) award to be given by individual state field committees for exceptional employer support of our nation's armed forces in 2004.  Since then, each retail location in Food Lion, LLC's North Carolina operating area has signed individual letters of support.  In addition, she sponsors Food Lion's military business resource group which, among other activities, organizes community events to recognize our country's servicemen and women.

She is also pleased to have served on the board of the Lion's Share Credit Union, Food Lion, LLC's associate-owned credit union since 1998. She has held the position of chairperson for the last five years.

Pat also is a very active leader in the community.  She acts on the Board of Trustees for Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, an important pillar in the counties where Food Lion, LLC has the greatest presence.  She is currently head of the personnel committee.

She is grateful and passionate about her role as board member for the Masonic Home for Children, a non-profit residential home that provides care for children during a time in their life when additional care and stability is needed.

Pat earned an associate's degree in business administration from Rowan Cabarrus Community College and possesses more than 25 years experience in the payroll, healthcare, retirement and benefits fields.

She is married to her husband, Bennie and mother to her two daughters, Renee and Trisha, and grandmother to her two-year-old granddaughter, Jaelyn.  She enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends and seeing the sights on her many traveling adventures both in the U.S. and abroad.
