BCBSNC Opens 100,000-Square-Foot 'Green' Building

DURHAM – Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) is hosting media tours at its new, 100,000-square-foot office building named the CSC2 beginning Wednesday, July 1.  This building will use 65 percent less energy and 50 percent less water than the company's traditional office buildings.  The environmentally friendly structure will be the work space for 550 current BCBSNC employees, serving as a part of BCBSNC's long-term commitment to reduce the carbon footprint of its operations.

DIRECTIONS (From I-40):  Take I-40 to exit 270.  Turn onto US 15/501 (Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd.) headed toward Durham.  Follow Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd. past Garrett Road.  Stay in right two lanes. Stay in right lane and bear right onto Martin Luther King, Jr. Pkwy.  Turn right at the first traffic light onto University Drive.  Turn left at the first drive onto Ivy Creek Boulevard.
