DETROIT - For the second straight year, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan has received the Federal Employee Program Plan of Excellence designation from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.

The national designation recognizes the Michigan Blues' claims process and customer service for timeliness and accuracy, member satisfaction as well as benefit and administrative cost containment strategies for 82,000 federal government employees and their dependents in Michigan.

 BCBSM scored an excellent rating of more than 100 points out of a possible 120 points. The award represents the dedication and commitment provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan employees.

The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Federal Employee Program administers the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association's service benefit plan to U.S. federal employees in Michigan.
