BlueChoice HealthPlan Names Rolanda Aiken Vice President

COLUMBIA – BlueChoice® HealthPlan of South Carolina has promoted Rolanda Aiken to vice president of health services.

In this role she is responsible for all of the company's health care and quality improvement initiatives, including utilization review, case management, disease management, health management, complex case management, quality management, and member and provider claims appeals.  She oversees the company's Great Expectations®† for health programs.

BlueChoice HealthPlan has Great Expectations programs in asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, maternity, diabetes, back care, children's health, depression, heart disease, heart failure, men's health, women's health, migraine, weight loss, and smoking cessation.  Nearly 100% of those eligible for these programs enroll in Great Expectations.  More than 200,000 people in South Carolina are being served by Great Expectations.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Aiken earned a bachelor's degree in nursing and a master's in public health.  She previously served as senior director of health services and has 16 years of medical management services with BlueChoice HealthPlan and Companion Benefit Alternatives Inc.
