Prime Therapeutics Contracts With Blue Shield of California

Prime will provide mail service to Blue Shield members

Prime Therapeutics LLC (Prime) has entered into an agreement with Blue Shield of California (Blue Shield)to provide Blue Shield's mail pharmacy services, beginning January 1, 2008.The initial arrangement is for a four-year period. Blue Shield, one of the largest health plans and insurers in California with membership totaling 3.2 million, joins a growing number of not-for-profit Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans nationwide that have chosen to partner with Prime, a pharmacybenefit management company with significant experience working with BlueCross and Blue Shield Plans.   

A key selection factor for Blue Shield was Prime's demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality customer service to members.
