No. The entry must include a true, original story about the individual entrant or the individual entrant’s minor child for whom that individual entrant is the parent or legal guardian (not another family member or other person).

The photos and videos submitted should focus on the story about the entrant (or the entrant’s minor child for whom they are the parent or legal guardian of) and therefore, the entrant should be the focus of any images or videos.

FAQ Item Question
Can my BCBS Company submit a Faces of Fearless story on my behalf?

FAQ Item Question
Why do I need to sign a legal release?
FAQ Item Answer

Signed releases give Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) and BCBS companies permission to use the entrant’s likeness, name and narrative. The entrant’s likeness, name and narrative may be used in a variety of ways, including use on social networks, websites and other digital platforms. The HIPAA release gives BCBSA permission to talk to the individual member’s own BCBS company if any follow-up is needed regarding the story they submit.

FAQ Item Answer
