Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama announces the promotion of John Barth and Jennifer DeLawrence.
John Barth has been named Vice President of Customer Service. Barth joined Blue Cross in August 2005, as a Management Candidate. Since joining Blue Cross, he has served as Manager of Customer Service for Cahaba GBA, Call Center Technology Manager, and Call Center Manager. In his most recent role at Blue Cross, Barth has served as Department Manager of Customer Service. Barth received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Jennifer DeLawrence has been named Vice President and Controller. DeLawrence began her career at Blue Cross in 2008, as Manager of Financial Reporting. She has served as the Department Manager of Accounting and Reporting since 2012. Prior to joining Blue Cross, she was an auditor at Ernst & Young and Dixon Hughes Goodman. DeLawrence received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Birmingham-Southern College.
