Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Giving Back to the Community With Seventh Annual Day of Caring

Birmingham, AL — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama is giving back to the community statewide by hosting its seventh annual Day of Caring. On Saturday, May 5, more than 450 employees and their families will work on projects that will make a positive difference in Alabama.

We recognize the importance of using our resources to help others and positively impact the communities we serve,” says Tim Vines, President and CEO of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. “By collaborating together, we can continue to make a positive impact in the lives of Alabamians and their families.” 

Day of Caring community projects will be held statewide at the following times and locations:

Volunteers will paint canvas pictures for United Way Area Agency on Aging and will also assemble:

    Personal care kits for United Way Area Agency on Aging and Firehouse Shelter
    Bicycles for A.G. Gaston Boys & Girls Club
    Activity kits for Success by 6 Pre K program 
    Silverware packets for Meals on Wheels
    Snack packs for families at Ronald McDonald House
    School pouch kits for Girls Inc. of Central Alabama
