Blue Cross Names Experienced Clinical Care Executive as Senior Vice President of Care Delivery

Sabrina Hogan brings more than 20 years’ experience in healthcare to role

BATON ROUGE –  Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana has hired Sabrina Hogan as senior vice president of Care Delivery, effective Dec. 9.

This is a new position within Blue Cross’ Senior Management Team. Hogan will be responsible for overseeing all direct care delivery programs and services. She will work closely with the staff in Blue Cross’ Clinical Operations division to apply a continuous improvement approach to boost clinical quality, patient safety and patient satisfaction. This includes the insurer’s in-house clinical programs and services, as well as work with network provider partners. Hogan will help Blue Cross leadership identify new business opportunities and implement best practices into the insurer’s patient-facing programs. 

Hogan has more than 20 years of experience providing strategic leadership and driving continuous quality improvement in healthcare organizations. She comes to Blue Cross from St. Francis Medical Group and St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, where she worked since 2003 and held a variety of leadership roles. Most recently, Hogan was chief operating officer and vice president for medical staff services and health information management (HIM). In that role, she steered operational strategy and was responsible for recruiting, onboarding, credentialing and overseeing performance management for more than 50 multi-level healthcare providers. During Hogan’s time at St. Francis, the organization received Top Tier Distinction for Quality Performance from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. 

Hogan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and a master’s degree in nursing with a concentration in healthcare systems management from Loyola University in New Orleans. She is a Leadership Ouachita graduate and was a National Baldrige Examiner from 2008-2010. This is a select group of professionals who evaluate applicants for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, which is the only Presidential award recognizing organizational performance excellence.
