    Independence Blue Cross Offers Year-Round Access To Adult Dental And Vision Care Plans 

    Independence Blue Cross (Independence) today announces the availability of adult dental and vision care plans for individuals and families that offer low out-of-pocket costs and access to a large network of dental and vision care professionals. The plans, which cover consumers age 19 and older, may be purchased at any time throughout the year and do not require the purchase of an Independence medical plan. In addition, consumers who choose to purchase dental and vision care plans at the same time may receive a discount on their vision care plan rates.

    Blue Cross Blue Shield Of Vermont Promotes Workplace Health With Lunchtime Walks 

    With the cold winter behind us, it’s time to celebrate the warmth of spring by getting outside and going for a walk. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont (BCBSVT) is honored to once again celebrate National Walk @ Lunch Day, now in its eighth year. National Walk @ Lunch Day is an annual health promotion hosted by BCBSVT and other Blue Cross and Blue Shield organizations across the country. Last year, more than 22,000 residents laced up their walking shoes and hit the pavement. This year, BCBSVT expects about 35,000 Vermonters will take part.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), deaths from prescription drug overdoses have reached epidemic levels in the United States. The national take-back effort seeks to raise awareness and reduce prescription drug abuse in our local communities by offering individuals and families a trouble-free and environmentally friendly way to rid their homes of unwanted prescriptions.

    Highmark Announces Small Employer Clients Can Keep Existing Health Insurance Coverage
