CHICAGO – Today, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) announced that Mouli Venkatesan has been named as its chief information and technology officer.
Mouli will lead the strategic direction and daily operations of BCBSA’s core IT infrastructure. He will also lead the Association’s technology ecosystem, overseeing its modernization, advancement of digital platforms, and deployment of next‑generation artificial intelligence capabilities. His work accelerates operational efficiency, strengthens national technology assets, and enables all 33 independent Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) companies to better serve their members.
Previously, Mouli spent 18 years with UnitedHealthcare, Optum and UnitedHealth Group, where he held a variety of leadership roles across data, analytics, technology and AI. He brings deep experience in enterprise technology leadership, including building scalable platforms that support growth, operational efficiency and digital transformation all in service of improving the delivery of care for members.
