Blue Cross Blue Shield Association Statement on Medicare’s Coverage of At-Home COVID-19 Tests
WASHINGTON – Today, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association President and CEO Kim Keck issued the following statement in response to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ plan to cover at-home COVID-19 tests at no cost for Medicare beneficiaries, including those in Medicare Advantage.
“COVID-19 tests are one important tool to protect each other and are critical as we work to overcome this pandemic. Today’s guidance will help protect our nation’s seniors and disabled individuals – some of the most vulnerable to the virus – and ensure at-home tests are easily accessible for Medicare beneficiaries.”
