Blue Cross Blue Shield Association Names Vanessa Hatch as Vice President of Clinical Operations for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield® Federal Employee Program®

WASHINGTON – Vanessa Hatch, a leading health care executive, has been named vice president of Clinical Operations for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield® Federal Employee Program® (FEP), which serves 5.7 million members among federal employees, retirees and their families. Hatch previously served as executive director of Clinical Operations for FEP.

In her role, Hatch is responsible for overseeing care delivery implementation, pharmacy benefit design and strategy, clinical operations and quality, vendor management, and member services for FEP.

Prior to joining BCBSA in 2018, Hatch served in leadership positions at the Pharmaceutical Strategies Group and The Segal Group where she was responsible for providing clinical and operational guidance across a number of health plans, employer groups and hospital pharmacy systems.

Hatch holds a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a master's degree in business from Johns Hopkins University and a Doctor of Pharmacy from Shenandoah University.
