The Blue Cross Blue Shield Association is an association of 36 independent, locally operated Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield companies.
Brad Lubrant is Vice President, Financial Services, for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA), a national federation of 36 independent, community-based and locally operated Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies. The Blue System is the nation’s largest health insurer, covering one-in-three of all Americans.
Lubrant plays a leading role in the protection of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield brand by ensuring Blue Cross and Blue Shield licensees comply with financial and enrollment requirements.
He is responsible for BCBSA’s Financial Services group, which includes Financial Planning & Analysis, BCBSA & Plan Tax and Plan Financial Services. He also provides strategic direction in delivering financial technical resources and services to Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies.
Prior to joining BCBSA in 1995, Lubrant worked at Arthur Andersen LLP as an audit and business advisory consultant focused primarily on clients in the insurance and banking industries.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
