Brad Lubrant is vice president of finance for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA), a national federation of independent, community-based and locally operated Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) companies. Today, one in three Americans is covered by the Blue System.
Lubrant plays a leading role in the protection of the BCBS brand by ensuring licensees comply with financial and enrollment requirements.
He is responsible for BCBSA’s Finance group, which includes Financial Operations, Accounting & Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis, BCBSA & Plan Tax and Plan Financial Services. He also provides strategic direction in delivering financial technical resources and services to BCBS companies.
Prior to joining BCBSA in 1995, Lubrant worked at Arthur Andersen LLP as an audit and business advisory consultant focused primarily on clients in the insurance and banking industries.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
